The Iglu-Dorf Gstaad has occupied the location on the Saanerslochgrat since the winter of 2009/2010. The igloo village is rebuilt every year with over 20 igloos of up to 8 metres across. In spring the igloos simply melt away.

Floor Plan

The Iglu-Dorf Gstaad has 10 overnight igloos and space for up to 40 overnight guests.
Wellness and Kota

We offer overnight guests a sense of wellness in extraordinary surroundings. Whirlpool, sauna and the heated kota invite you to linger.

With large, carefully crafted sculptures made out of snow and ice on different levels.
Packing List
The Iglu-Dorf Gstaad is in a remote mountain location and temperatures are around freezing point. But don’t worry, our packing list will help.

Warm clothing suitable for winter (think what you would wear for skiing)

Warm, lined winter shoes

Good gloves (ideally two pairs)

Dry socks, long underwear to change into (we recommend Merino Base Layer by Penguin), pyjamas if necessary

Two hats (one as a spare in case the first hat gets wet)

Towel, swimwear, flip-flops for wellness activities if necessary

Head torch or flashlight

Toothbrush & toothpaste

Sunglasses & sunscreen

Ski goggles (in case of wind and snow)
