The Iglu-Dorf Zugspitze has occupied the location on the Zugspitzplatt since the winter of 2004/2005. The igloo village is rebuilt every year with over 25 igloos of up to 8 metres across. In spring the igloos simply melt away.

The Iglu-Dorf Zugspitze has 16 overnight igloos and space for up to 42 overnight guests.
Wellness

We offer overnight guests a sense of wellness in extraordinary surroundings. Our sauna invites you to relax.
Snow and Ice Art

Monsters of snow and ice have taken over the igloo on Zugspitze this year. But don't worry, they are loving creatures and don't bite.
Packing List
The Iglu-Dorf Zugspitze is in a remote mountain location and temperatures are around freezing point. But don’t worry, our packing list will help.

Warm clothing suitable for winter (think what you would wear for skiing)

Warm, lined winter shoes

Good gloves (ideally two pairs)

Dry socks, long underwear to change into (we recommend Merino Base Layer by Penguin), pyjamas if necessary

Two hats (one as a spare in case the first hat gets wet)

Towel, swimwear, flip-flops for wellness activities if necessary

Head torch or flashlight

Toothbrush & toothpaste

Sunglasses & sunscreen

Ski goggles (in case of wind and snow)
